Guided tours of Padova, the city of science and faith
Rich, lively, always on the move, Padova is the city of the second oldest university in Italy founded in 1222.
It is here that Giotto, the greatest artist of the Middle Ages, painted the famous Scrovegni Chapel, a small chapel completely frescoed with the stories of Mary and Jesus, from childhood to his Passion.
The Chapel, not to be missed, is a UNESCO world heritage site, together with other buildings in town where you can admire fourteenth-century frescoes by important artists of the time.
A guided tour of Padova is an opportunity to discover the most iconic places of the city such as the Basilica of Saint Anthony, the headquarters of the University, the so called Bo where Galileo Galilei was professor for 18 years, the Prato della Valle, one of the biggest squares of Europe, and much more. But it is also a way to immerse yourself in everyday life, exploring the market squares around the Palazzo della Ragione, tasting local delicacies, ending up, why not, at Caffè Pedrocchi, where you can try the famous coffee with cream and mint.
